  1. My friend is interested in. Pm you.
  2. I'm still haven't changed my 2 bedrooms apartment for something smaller since there is nothing small and cosy for a half of a price of it. So I'm renting out the second bedroom for 1-1.5 month or shorter. 2 minutes walk to binhelu station, 17min by metro to chengzhan, 45 to dongzhan. Alibaba bus stop near the complex gate. Nice green complex with swimming pool, gym, park view. A lot of shops and restaurants around. The apartment is quite, nice, in light colors, all the furniture is built-in. PM me :)
  3. What would you have done?

What is strange for me you guys most likely dating or even married with a local woman, yet naming Chinese weird etc. Even I don't do so! and I'm not much interested in local culture, I don't like Chinese food and I'm a very direct in speaking out loud my thoughts. I was promoted to China by my company. So I didn't come there begging for a job, or because I'm in love with Chinese culture. So theoretically I could believe everyone around is weird. I appreciate the super safety there, as a foreign woman I feel very safe walking around at night time. I like some other things there and don't like even more things. But thinking of Chinese as weird ppl?..
  4. What would you have done?

It was your choice not to even shout, circumstances doesn't matter, 2007, 2007b.C. If you still remember it, you feel it was not the best way to do. Which probably means now in a similar situation you would behave differently. For so many years passed you should not blame yourself. We all make mistakes. Every single person has something in his life which he/she prefers not being happened. Every. If we learn from our mistakes, it makes us grow.
  5. What would you have done?

I would not beat him as I'm not strong enough. My brother and father would. But first they would try to talk, shout. Me too. First shout, shock a person, then see. From my childhood I remember my father always stepped in into different situations he didn't like. He always was a very sporty guy, but respected people a lot, always smiled which is not typical for a Russian (OK, he is an Ukrainian, for him is the same), so people listened to him, he didn't need to use a force. We all grown up the same. The justice and my inner peace is way more important than other ppl opinion and actions, including deportation. What if it would be me tortured to death and a bystander take no actions? When that lady was killed, or how you say it in English to describe the long process she was being killed? No one opened the door she knocked trying to escape her death, no one called the police, no one even opened the window and shout to the killer to stop. I hope I will meet a likewise man to get married with :) for me a man who protects weaks is a man with the highest testosterone level.
  6. Thank you, Jake, great job!
  7. Exploring the local sights

Thank you, great pics! I didn't know Linping can be that beautiful! Always believed it is just an industrial area with a lot of factories.
  8. Where is Pancho's?

I like Pancho's food. They had to close because of metro construction. The government gave them a notice just a couple of month prior, they had no chance to find a descent new place so fast. Just hope they will re-open one day. It is not true management didn't care of the business! I saw both or one of them, Alex or Tetiana, almost every time i was there. Despite on Mexican food is not really for vegetarians, they did care about vegetarians, made changes in the dished every time i asked to. They also were very friendly to big parties at their place. If your point is some waiters careless, cmon, you cant just blame Pancho's on this! I had to force a waitress at Eudora (twice expensive) to wash her hands after she went to toilet, regret i didnt complain the management. While at Nanshan lu Slim's is pretty clean since the owner is there, in Star Avenu Slim's (3 times expensive comp.to Pancho's) i saw a waiter researching his nose holes with his fingers, i gave up to go there after that though was a loyal client for a couple of months. But it doesn't mean those 2 places are terrible, and i'm sure at Nanshanlu Slim's you can't find a waiter like that since the owner is there. The owners can't supervise any single local staff, and it will take years and a lot of government propaganda efforts to beat off the dirty habits from people! Besides, in some European countries it is also ok to fart in public yet we all blaming China solely for this.
  9. A newly opened Korean SPA at JinJiang station (line 1, 4, exit D) is very clean, warm, has beautiful common area with additional hot and very cold "saunas", gym, a swimming pool (to-be opened soon), food court ("normal" seats, traditional tables, private rooms). Will upload pics later. Worth to visit! (of course Korean sauna is way better in SH, but almost everything is way better in SH, we live in HZ, so let's enjoy of what we have there).
  10. Give a try to amazing salsa nights with Michael Nice at Carbon bar on Fridays! Dancers from almost all HZ salsa schools attend the parties, quite often there are guests from other cities, the environment is super friendly, no one cares of your dance skills, you don't need to be a professional to join and enjoy. Most of the dancers dance LA, some cuban and NY. The bar itself is pretty cosy nice place, many expats hang out there. It has a nice summer terrace which will be on high demand very soon since it is getting hot! Beishanlu 10, 北山路10号 There are several salsa spots in HZ: on Tuesdays at Shanke, Fridays at Carbon, Sat at Mint and lounge and probably Sundays at Shanke.

  13. Indian Cookery in Hangzhou

Do you still have the cooking sessions?
  14. Just read from a Russian resource several days ago China is planning to fire 2000000 workers soon, mainly from coal and steel industry. Here several links below since i don't know which one of the sources is more trustful. Just wonder will it make oil cheaper or not. From my experience, in hometextile industry suppliers recently started to agree on at least 9-13% discounts, last year after rmb devaluation they even didn't want to hear about any discounts. A margin in hometextiles is not big, so i assume they just want to survive the crisis. https://news.google.com.pk/news/more?ncl=dNINsPtR5-DV0cMFzt2S2iPPoo39M&authuser=0&ned=en_pk http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/china-to-lay-off-18-million-workers-from-coal-and-steel-industry-after-slowest-economic-growth-in-25- a6906701.htmlhttp://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-economy-layoffs-exclusive-idUSKCN0W33DS
