  1. Hi Hangzhou2004, I've sent you a message.
  2. In 2015, CIE offered a new subject: A level Computer Science (9608). The A level Computing (9691) will have its last exam in 2016. As a new subject, CIE sets an easy syllabus to encourage more students to take this subject. Computer Science is a compulsory subject for students who are taking majors in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Business, and Economics in colleges and universities. Grade of C or above in A level Computer Science can be converted to 6 units in college or university in USA, it saves money and time. It’s a big plus if a student has a grade of B or above in Computer Science on its application for universities. It will also make the student standing out of thousands of applicants, since most of students don’t have Computer Science on their transcripts. All top universities consider A level Computer Science as important as any Science subjects when students applying to Mathematics, Science or Engineering related majors. In order to help students getting into the best universities they could, I have decided to open A level Computer Science from September 18, 2016 in Hangzhou. First 2 semester subjects: 1. Computer Science Fundamentals 2. Fundamental Problem-solving and Programming Students need to take CIE Computer Science Fundamentals exam and Fundamental Problem-solving and Programming these 2 exams in May, 2017 The 3rd semester subjects: 1. Advanced Computer Science theory 2. Further Problem-solving and Programming Skills Students need to take CIE Advanced Computer Science theory and Further Problem-solving and Programming Skills these 2 exams in October, 2017 Since each student needs tailored help in computer programming, I can only accommodate at most 8 students in each class. Class venue: Liuxia, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang province Class schedule: Starting from September 18, 2016 to May 2017 on Sundays (No class on Oct. 2, Christmas vacation and Chinese New Year Break) 1:30PM ~ 2:10PM Computer Science Fundamentals 2:15PM~2:55PM Fundamental Problem-solving and Programming 3PM ~ 3:40PM Fundamental Problem-solving and Programming 3:45PM ~ 4:25PM Computer Science Fundamentals Medium of instruction: English only Tuition fee: 200/lesson for a class of 4 or above (75 lessons/semester); 250/lesson for a class of 3 students (72 lessons/semester); 350/lesson for a class of 2 students (68 lessons/semester); 500/lesson for a 1 to 1 lesson (flexible schedule, depends on the special need of a student); Textbooks are not covered in tuition fee.
