    Visa change Student to Working

Hi, I just need some help with a visa situation. I'm currently studying in Hangzhou, and have found a job here for after the end of the semester. I've been told that to change a student visa to a working visa, I need to go to Hong Kong. Is this true? I will also need to go during the spring festival period. Will that complicate things?
  2. I'm trying to get plane tickets to Lasa, T1bet on Ctrip but it refused my order because I don't have a Chinese ID So i rang up customer service and they told me to contact the airline's ticketing office and get it through them. I then called the airline and they say I need some kind of a permit before I can purchase em tickets... But the internet says HK residents don't need that permit no more!!! Anyone from HK who's been to T1bet lately? or knows a travel agent who can sort it out?

Hong Kong Chinese Embassy Pick-Up Times?

Has anyone recently gone to HK for a visa and came back to the mainland? I was there a few months back but I forgot the time they list for pick-ups of newly applied visas...I can vaguely recall it being between 1pm and 3pm but I would like some additional clarification. So if you have traveled there recently to do a visa run, what time did they mention to you to pick up your visa? Thanks a Bunch!
