HZH3 Hash #161 - "The Earth Shattering Earth Hour Environmental Consciousness Hash" - Sat, 28 March, 2.30pm

Hi All,

Yes, it's all systems go for the HZH3 Hash #161 trail hiking or running (or a bit of both, it's up to you...) event this Saturday (28 March) afternoon meeting at 2.30pm at The Drum Tower (鼓楼 GuLou) about 2kms east of the south-east corner of West Lake!

For this Hash event, think twisting village lanes, scenic views, tall tree forests, ancient temples and picturesque gardens plus a couple of small hills. All followed by a few drinks and frivolity (and an optional dinner together too).    :hooray:

The Hares (aka trail setters) tell me that they have another awesome Hash trail planned featuring scenic and cultural sites you might never encounter on your own.     :creepy:

If you don't have to work, then what better way could there be to spend your afternoon and evening than getting warm and possibly sweaty with people wearing less than the normal amount of clothing for this time of year!!!     :chuckle:

Send us an email and we will send you the full details in our current HZH3 Newsletter.

Cheers and On! On!

PS. FYI, for those who don't know what Earth Hour is all about, have a look at the Earth Hour home page: http://www.earthhour.org/

Basically, it's to raise awareness on living more environmentally sustainable lifestyles.

HZH3 Hash #163 – “The Taiping Bus Trip Hash” – Sat, 25 Apr, meeting at 11.15am to catch a bus

HZH3 Hash #164 – “The Token Aussie Themed Hash” – Sun, 26 Apr, meeting at 2.30pm

Hi All. This weekend we have planned a fantastic Hangzhou Hash double-header!

On Saturday we'll catch a bus out to a scenic area on Hangzhou's outskirts. On Sunday we'll do a local Hangzhou Hash.

There are only a very few seats left on the bus for Saturday, so get in quick if you're interested! Also, it's probably a bit longer and more difficult than our normal HZH3 Hash trails, so if you're not experienced at Hashing, then you should at least be a fairly fit hiker or runner.

For these Hash events, think twisting village lanes, scenic views, tall tree forests, tea fields, creek crossings and picturesque gardens plus a "couple of small hills". All followed by a few drinks and frivolity (and an optional dinner together too).      :hooray:

The Hares (aka trail setters) tell me that on both days they have awesome Hash trails planned featuring scenic and cultural sites you might never encounter on your own.       :creepy:

If you don't have to work, then what better way could there be to spend your afternoon and evening than getting warm and possibly sweaty with people wearing less than the normal amount of clothing for this time of year!!!       :chuckle:

For this Hash event, think scenic, willow-lined canals, scenic views, historic bridges and monuments and picturesque gardens. All followed by a few drinks and frivolity (and an optional dinner together too).     :hooray:

The Hares (aka trail setters) tell me that they have another awesome Hash trail planned featuring scenic and cultural sites you might never encounter on your own.      :creepy:

Hi MLO.

I just saw your post in the Hiking thread. It's great to hear you're interested in Hashing in Hangzhou.

In fact, the Hangzhou Hash House Harriers (HZH3 / HHHH) are less than 2 weeks away from hosting the 14th All China "Nash Hash". So, the Hash events next fortnight (Thu, 21 May to Sun, 24 May) will be run a bit differently than usual. There are significant fees for this once a year event and registration is required. You can do all days or just 1 or 2, it's up to you.

First timers who are active runners or fit hikers are welcome to join in the Nash Hash events and shouldn't have any problem.

Otherwise, if you're not fit or have never Hashed before, then we are back to normal Hangzhou Hashing on Sat, 6 June in the afternoon.

Thanks for your email address. I'll add you to the HZH3 Newsletter mailing list.

See more info about our group on the Hangzhou HHH thread in this Health & Fitness Forum.

FYI, to find out more about Hashing you can look at the latest MORE HANGZHOU magazine as there's a good article about us in the May edition. See it online here:  http://www.morehangz...e-harriers.html

Cheers and On! On!

I didn't read all the above since I don't have many time right now. But what I'd like to know is if there is a run between the 2nd and 13th of September? I will then be in China with my brother (he runs marathons weekly).

Thanks in advance
