I took a pair of high end Adidas boots with me from home, but I also bought a pair of Kipsta Agility 900 Pro for 400CNY at Decathlon and they seem like decent quality.

I've played with them a few times on a very firm turf field and they are holding up so far. Honestly, they're not too far removed from a pair of Tiempo Legends (although, the leather isn't quite as supple).

Now if I could only find a men's team to play with...

Hi Ancelotti, i bought a pair of Kipsta as well like last month but i had to get a new pair of boots because the kispta don't really suit my feet well causes blister and pain. I just bought a pair of adidas ace tango for turf field and they are not too bad. Good grip and feedback just the right big toe feel a bit unconfortable (my weid feet...).

Btw, i found a quite good stores that only sells football equipments which is located on wen yi xi lu. the store is located inside a university campus (cai jing da xue) and is called Xiao Li Zi. The store has some high end boots and others brands that you can't really find at the shopping malls such as Puma and Mizuno.

Unfortunatly i've eneded up to buy the adidas because the biggest size available at that store was 43 while i wear 44. But it worth to have a look since is the only store in the whole city.

I am lucky because where i live there are duded play football everyday in the night (i live far from HZ) so i have the chance to play very often and they are not very weak...

    • Actually, that's exactly what I originally had in mind, but I don't know how feasible it may be. Having done very little research on scholarships so far, I'm sort of at a loss for where to even begin. As for money, if I had no luck with a scholarship I may just put those plans on hold and focus on work. Thanks for the response!
    • I suspected as much, thanks forall the responses! Perhaps I'll focus on the Master's in that case. Speaking of which, does anybody have any experience or insight to share re: scholarships for international students?
    • He will be following me here but under different circumstances and I have been employed as a single person. This isn't my first International job or my first job in an Asian country - and every country I've lived in I have heard "This is (insert country here).  The university option is an interesting one, and will be kept as an alternative, and since he already has a Masters from a British University, maybe he can go for his PhD! Thanks for the input.
